Mobile operator Three will launch broadband 5G in August

British mobile operator Three said it will launch its first 5G generation service in London in August and open the handset and broadband in 25 cities and cities before the end of the year.

Three, which is owned by Hutchison, said it will launch its 5G network with a broadband service in London, joining EE and Vodafone of BT in delivering services in 2019.

Three said that its 5G $ 2 billion infrastructure investment included network upgrades in major British cities and a cloud base network provided by Nokia.

Chief Executive Dave Dayson in a statement said, “It is clear that consumers and businesses want more data.”

“We have worked hard over a long period of time to be able to offer the best end-to-end 5G experience.” 5G is a game changer for Three. ”

EE launched 5G services in six cities in May, while Vodafone will launch on July 3rd. Both launched Huawei smart phones from their 5G launches due to uncertainty about Google’s Android support after a US move to block access to its technology.

Three said they would announce details of which handsets would be part of its mobile launch in July.

“Huawei is a security risk and open to espionage from Beijing, a demand that the Chinese company denies,” the United States said.

In April, Britain’s National Security Council decided to block Huawei from all the core parts of its next 5G network, but grant limited access to non-essential parts, but the government did not make a final decision.

The 5G world commercial launch is expected in 2020./
